Between Azure integration magic and dashboard makeovers, last month was all about fresh starts and the beginning of a really active and exciting season for product updates.

Here are the main features and content we released:

🔗 Integration with Microsoft Defender for Cloud

As much as you may have enjoyed the last season of True Detective, we’re guessing you'd rather not be a detective in real life.

Hunting down evidence in Azure, decoding logs, and relying on screenshots as "proof" aren’t exactly the thrilling plot twist you were hoping for in your career.

That’s why we’re rolling out our new Microsoft Defender for Cloud integration—so you can stop chasing down compliance data and let automation do the heavy lifting.

Here’s what’s new:

• Save time, all the time – Azure security controls now auto-complete, so you don’t have to manually gather evidence for CMMC, NIST, CIS, and 14+ frameworks.
• One update, multiple wins – Our integration syncs scores across all frameworks that share controls, saving you from redundant work.
• Live, reliable scoring – Screenshots are fun for memes, not compliance. Now you get real-time, tamper-proof insights straight from your cloud environment.

🔍 Enhanced Dashboards

Apptega’s Dashboards have long been an essential tool for keeping your compliance programs on track, but we’ve just released a crystal ball-like upgrade.  

We’re introducing three revamped dashboards—Partners, Tenants, and Frameworks—that deliver more data, more granularity, and more insights than ever.

Here’s why you’ll love them:

• Partners Dashboard: One Pane of Glass for Your Customers

Get a high-level view of all your customers and identify which accounts and tasks need attention in 30 seconds. Then, drill down into hot spots using the Customers Dashboard to get more details and prioritize accordingly.

• Customers Dashboard: Prioritize What Matters  

Bring more actionable insights to the forefront. Quickly spot overdue tasks, unresolved risks, audit progress, and more to stay ahead of compliance challenges. Need even more detail on framework issues? Open the Frameworks Dashboard for a deeper analysis of what’s driving those gaps.

• Frameworks Dashboard: Control-Level Visibility

See compliance status at a more granular level, with a clear breakdown of controls, scoring, and progress. Easily toggle between frameworks and pinpoint where you’re behind so you can focus efforts where you can have the biggest impact.

📤 Consolidated Task Email Notifications

If task notifications were a sitcom, your inbox was stuck in a "too many episodes, not enough plot" phase.

We fixed that.

Instead of an avalanche of separate emails for every little update, you’ll now get one clean, daily summary so you can stay on top of your security and compliance programs without the inbox overload.

Here’s what’s new:

• One email per day – All task-related updates (new assignments, status changes, past-due reminders, due date updates, and document additions) are bundled into a single, easy-to-skim summary.
• Clear actions, less digging – Each section includes a View button, taking you straight to your relevant tasks. No more hunting around to take action.
• Branded for your org – Emails now come from your organization’s name, not Apptega, to avoid accidental deletions or spam reports.
• Bulk edit emails still get sent – Because mass updates need their own spotlight.

📊  POAM Report Flexibility

When it comes to managing gaps in government frameworks, the POAM report is your source of truth. But here’s the thing: some teams want to show completed tasks to highlight progress, while others just want a clean view of what’s left to do. We say—why not both?

With this update, you now have the power to choose which tasks to include or exclude in your POAM reports. Whether you're trying to show off your wins or focus on what's still open, you can tailor the report to your needs.

You’ll find this option available in:

• The Task module
• The Sub-control view
• Bulk edits
• Bulk imports
  

After all, progress looks different to everyone—now your report can too.

📝  Content Updates

CJIS v6 has landed!

The CJIS v6 framework is officially in production and available for use starting 4/1. (And no, this isn’t an April Fools joke.)

Heads up: this release is framework-only for now. Assessment, mapping, and taskpacks are coming later—but in the meantime, you can still conduct assessments directly with the framework.

All 3 levels of the CIS v8 Taskpack are now live and ready for action. Whether you’re tackling Level 1 or going for Level 3, you’ll find structured, prescriptive tasks waiting to guide your journey.
