Key Takeaways

Following a banner year in 2024, Apptega is entering an exciting new phase of growth and expansion. To help maintain momentum and further scale the company, Apptega has added cybersecurity expert and decorated sales leader Andy Vallila to the executive leadership team as chief revenue officer (CRO).

“I’m excited and honored to be leading the Apptega go-to-market organization during such a transformative and high-growth chapter for this company,” Vallila said. “I look forward to working with our service provider partners and customers to continue shaping the way businesses manage their security and compliance programs with a platform trusted by thousands of organizations globally.”

Vallila joins Apptega following highly successful security sales leadership roles at both startups and large established organizations, including Dell, Oracle, and Sun Microsystems. Most recently, he served as CRO of Contrast Security, a leader in modernized application security. And as CRO of Securonix, he was instrumental in building and scaling the company into a market leader in SIEM and XDR, resulting in its acquisition by a large software-focused private equity firm in 2022.

In his new role, Vallila will be responsible for building a robust sales organization and helping shape the go-to-market (GTM) strategy to accelerate revenue growth and expansion. His primary focus will be growing a burgeoning partner community of dozens of leading managed security providers that use Apptega to deliver world-class continuous security and compliance programs to their clients, boosting their own recurring revenue, margins, and customer retention.

With a partner-first mentality and deep understanding of how to help organizations successfully navigate the rapidly evolving challenges and complexities of cybersecurity, Vallila is poised to lead Apptega into a new phase of growth as the company’s first CRO.
