Apptega Hosts Amplify 2020 Virtual Cybersecurity Conference for Customers and Partners

New Apptega API and Application-Specific Connectors Unveiled with Use Cases Presented by Several Organizations

Atlanta – May 5, 2020 – Last week, cybersecurity management software innovator Apptega hosted the 2nd annual Amplify Cybersecurity Conference for its growing cadre of customers and partners.  More than 100 attendees participated in the event, hosted virtually this year with a condensed agenda.

“The entire Apptega team is proud to support our customers and partners as they strive to protect against ever-expanding cyber threats and ensure compliance with the latest cybersecurity regulations and guidelines,” said Armistead Whitney, CEO of Apptega.  “The very positive feedback we received on the innovations shared during the Amplify conference indicates that we’re providing the platform that simplifies the complex maze of cybersecurity management and enables our customers and partners to continuously improve their cyber-readiness.”

During the conference, Apptega announced several significant new core enhancements to the platform including:

  • Open API and Connectors for Qualys and JIRA
  • One-click Executive Summary Report
  • Documents and evidence collection workflows
  • Tasking workflows to support the audit process
  • CMMC and FFIEC frameworks

Conference attendees learned about the new Apptega API and application-specific Connectors in detail.  With these new utilities, Apptega can serve as the cybersecurity system-of-record, pulling in data from web application scanning (WAS) systems, firewalls, and end-point-protection systems.  The API can also be used to push data to surrounding systems such as project management systems and IT service management (ITSM) systems.

“We are very excited about the new Apptega API and the application-specific Connectors,” said Darin Haines, Senior Vice President of Global Consulting for MCPc.  “Apptega is our standard platform for managing the cybersecurity programs of our MSSP clients and this new flexibility will enable us to deliver substantial efficiencies for both our consultants and our clients.”

During the conference, attendees also provided insight into the cybersecurity challenges they are addressing with Apptega.  The majority of participants indicated they are using Apptega to:

  • Ensure compliance with constantly evolving cybersecurity frameworks
  • Manage audits of their cybersecurity programs
  • Provide cybersecurity status updates to their executives and Boards of Directors

Whitney concluded, “The achievements of our customers and partners tell the story of Apptega.  We will continue delivering on the promise of persistent innovation to help our constituents further simplify the management of their cybersecurity programs and keep pace with the latest threats and compliance obligations.”
