Apptega Expands Cybersecurity Management & Compliance Growth with New Funding from GRA Venture Fund
ATLANTA, GA — June 30, 2020 — Apptega, the innovative cybersecurity management and compliance software company, has raised an undisclosed funding round from GRA Venture Fund to support Apptega’s continued growth and expansion. Existing investors also participated including Circadian Group, TiE Atlanta Angels, Ascent Capital, and prominent family offices. The Apptega platform helps enterprises and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs) easily build, manage and report cybersecurity programs. The new capital will be used to double the company’s workforce and launch new features in its platform.
“Companies of all sizes are scrambling to keep track of massive amounts of cybersecurity data to keep their organizations safe and to comply with complex regulatory requirements such as SOC 2, PCI, HIPAA, CMMC and GDPR,” said Armistead Whitney, CEO of Apptega. “COVID-19 is also creating a new set of security challenges for many organizations accelerating transformation to the cloud. With Apptega, any organization has a single collaborative platform to manage, track and report their cybersecurity and compliance more efficiently than any other approach. Our new round of capital and outstanding group of investment partners will help us further accelerate our vision to disrupt the $200 Billion cybersecurity industry that’s still using Excel spreadsheets to manage and track the most important part of IT.”
“Cybersecurity management is a critical need for organizations and Apptega’s product offers a unique solution in a bustling marketplace,” said Kurt Jacobus, Managing Director at the GRA Venture Fund. “We’re excited to invest in a Georgia-based company and support them as they continue to serve their customers and grow.”
